Why “Jules”

Commonly known as Jules by the people closest to him, my grandfather Julius L. Lassner embodied everything this project is about. He was one of the most respectful, loving, caring people I have ever met, and he lit up any room the second he entered it. I decided to name this project after him not only because the morals are the same, but because I know he would have loved to see me working on it. The vision I see for this project is not only to help my community, but to also make him proud. I know he is looking down on me right now smiling. I love you papa.

The Bloodline

  • Andy Lassner

My dad! My dad is one of two children my grandpa Jules had with my grandma, Daniel. My dad is a role model to me because of how he treats every day like its a new one, and how he teaches me to be a better person each time the sun rises. He is most commonly known for his work on the Ellen Show, however he is much more than that to me. He is my dad, my hero, and my friend.

And then there was three. Me! I am 15 years old and go to the Buckley School in Los Angeles, California. I have a twin brother named Ethan, and an older sister named Erin. I wanted to start this project for so many reasons, some of which you can find on the “Who Are We?” page. Thanks for supporting the project!
